As the continual consensus seems to be with this blog- I am yet again late at my posting. However, I have several wonderful events that have occurred since my last posting so there's lots to tell. A month or so ago, on April 2nd Jeffrey & I celebrated our fifth year wedding anniversary. It's amazing to think that five years have already past. I think to myself-where did the time go! We just got married. But I find such joy in celebrating this wedding anniversary. I think with us, just like with others, celebrating a significant anniversary always holds lots of nostalgia. Whether it be a 5, 10, 20 years- to me its a true time of remembrance and nostalgia. Looking back on the years that we have spent together, I think it's safe to say that neither of us are quite the same people. Time has certainly aged us, but in a wisdom filled journey together. I am so grateful to have meet this man to share my life with.

5 years ago, we walked down this aisle & said our committed vows. What a day it was! Here's the nostalgia of that day- I most remember seeing my groom for the first time in a private moment as I descending down a stairwell to greet him. Secondly, I remember the obscene amounts of Cool Ranch Doritos that I ate that day. I was hungry- no judging! Even though my nostalgia conveniently remembers the most random parts of the day, I do recall overall how giddy & excited I was to be marrying that man. So here we are- 5 years later, more wise& more seasoned and still in love. I'm thankful for each day that we choose each other, and not allow things to choose us. For our gifts this year, I was thrilled to keep it low key. But Jeffrey being Jeffrey, out did himself. I was given a few subtle hints that my gift would be "traditional anniversary gift" ie made of wood for the 5th year. So the actual day came, and I was thinking that the gift would come in mail and that was that... I was MISTAKEN. Jeffrey started out by ordering a beautiful bouquet of flowers to be delivered before the lunch hour...

Gorgeous Red roses and Pink Daises ( FYI daises are the official 5th year flower)! Let's stop here and just think of all the research that he put into finding the official wedding day gift and flower. Neither of which I even knew. So kudos to Jeffrey for his hard labors and commitment. After lunch, I received yet another surprise- one that was in a category of amaziness all on its own....
The largest edible arrangement topped with a #5 cut out of pineapples. DELISH! Jeffrey sent along sweet messages with each gift. He said the Flowers were for my enjoyment, the edible arrangements with their sweet pineapples, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate dipped apples were for my coworkers to share in my joyous occasion..... and lastly..... the wonderful wooden gift as promised........
My very own cuckoo clock!!! Hand crafted & made just for our home. As I mentioned before, Jeffrey truly out did himself. What a wonderful wonderful anniversary filled with some many thought out / thoughtful gifts. I'm truly ashamed to admit that Jeffrey got Bose headphones from me. I should have been more like him & put forth a lot of forethought. Happy Anniversary my love- here's to 50 more!
Hahahahaha, I was thinking about you and thoE Doritos the other day!!!
