Last Week of February

Contrary to my last post, these past few weeks have been strangely beautiful. We will call it the calm before the storm. I'm told that spring here in good ole Colorado is  basically an extended winter. So all these days with weather above 60 degrees has been an anomaly.  So the snow has passed for a little bit and out comes the high winds. These past few weeks we had a major wind storm that blew tons and tons of tumbleweeds into our backyard.
Now I know that this doesn't seem so bad, but let me tell you- this picture was taken a few days after the wind storm and most of  the tumbleweeds that were atop the 6 foot privacy fence blew away already. In case that part didn't register with you let me say again... that's a 6 foot privacy fence and  those darn tumbleweeds were scaling over it. Yikes was my reaction! I'm still on the hunt to find someone to come mulch em up or take em away. No luck thus far.  I'll be glad when these things are gone & the doggies & I can reclaim our yard. So in the spirit of spring, I decide to  get out the lighter apparel aka my favorite white jeans to wear to a jewelry party with my dear friend Denise.

Sometimes, a girl just has to take a selfie of her outfit. I'm still waiting for all my jewelry to come in that I ordered from this Lia Sophia party. (Pics of this to come soon) So going on with my week of first... I went an played bingo for the first time with some ladies I work with . Who knew that bingo could be so stressful?? I was given three packets of bingo cards and a list of instructions. Overwhelming but fun. A good way to spend your Sunday afternoon.

Those ladies at the bingo center are HARD CORE. Whew! I was barely able to keep up with just the cards I had.. but lots of people were working a dozen or so cards. Overall it was a great last week of February. Very excited that were entering into March.. .this means official spring time and another month closer to Jeffrey coming home.
